A moving plan for delivery, donation and removal stops

Start with destinations, then inventory

Create a heading for the new home, storage and each additional stop. Put an address or confirmed destination beneath every heading, followed by the pieces going there. If an item is still undecided, place it on a decisions list rather than quietly assigning it to the main moving load.

Use a unique, written destination label. Color alone can be misread or disappear under wrapping. Describe each piece consistently, such as oak dining table with six chairs, and keep its measurements or photos beside the entry.

Settle the donation decision before the route

A donation pickup plan begins with acceptance by the receiving organization. Ask about condition, size, photographs and delivery arrangements. Keep the approval with the item list and have a fallback if the organization cannot accept a piece.

List removal separately from donation. An unwanted item does not become a charitable gift because it is loaded with accepted furniture. Share any change of destination with the team before the work is confirmed.

Give each stop an access plan

Name the contact who can open each property and any fixed access window. Show the carrying route, floor and likely loading position. The team can review the route order using those details, rather than assuming all stops can happen in any sequence.

Keep travel documents, medication, keys and valuables with you. Before loading, check that labels match the latest sheet and that furniture you are keeping at the original property is clearly marked.
